The Utah Friends of Paleontology Castle Valley Chapter’s November 9 meeting will feature a talk by Benn Breeden, PhD candidate, University of Utah. The title of Benn’s talk is TBA. The meetings are held at USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum, 155 E Main St, Price, Utah.
The Castle Country Chapter’s October 12 meeting will feature a talk by Dr. Gussie Maccracken, NSF Postdoctoral Fellow, Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Dr. Maccracken’s talk is titled, “The inconspicuous herbivores of the Kaiparowits Formation: how plant–insect associations shaped Late Cretaceous ecosystems.”
Our speaker for September 29th will be Rob Gaston, owner of Gaston Design, Inc in Fruita, CO and discoverer of Gastonia burgei. We will meet at 6:00 PM in the Front Conference Room of the Grand Center in Moab, 182 North 500 West.
The Castle Country Chapter is proud to have Utah State Paleontologist, Jim Kirkland to be our first speaker as our Chapter begins anew. Jim’s talk is titled, Feathering Utahraptor.
