Saturday August 29 – UFOP Business Meeting & Registration
UFOP business meeting (members, please attend!) 8:00 am to 9:45 am. Topics include accounting, chapter reports, proposed bylaws changes, and elections.
You can purchase registration online from the UFOP store. We will have a table where you can pick up your registration package and shirt order if applicable.

Morning and afternoon talks with a midday lunch break. Awards presentation after lunch.

eRegistration fee for the meeting is $50. $10 discount for students. The banquet dinner is optional at $25 per person. Note that the option for dinner ordering ended on August 26.
Please indicate your preferred choice of field trip in the ordering options. Complete multiple registrations by adding each person’s information to the shopping bag separately (use the “add more” button).
Tee shirt ordering is closed. A limited number of shirts/sizes are for sale at the event.
This year’s short sleeve T-shirt features swimming Prionocyclus macombi ammonites. The shirts are a unisex crew neck style with thermal transfer graphic on a black cotton shirt.
Online ordering for shirts has closed. We will have a limited number of shirts in select sizes available for purchase at the Meeting. We will also have a limited number of canvas bags with the ammonite graphic for sale.
Sadly, a site visit to the Five Mile Pass collecting quarry has revealed that all the good collecting exposures have been consumed by large commercial rock quarries. We have created a new field trip to with geologic and historic sites, as well as a marine fossil collection site. Please see information below. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and short notice.
Please come prepared with sunscreen and hat for either fieldtrip as both have outdoors activity. The Ogden Dinosaur Park is open from Noon to 5:00 pm on Sunday. It has indoor exhibits, a working fossil prep lab, and a verdant park populated with life size dinosaur reconstructions. Please mention the UFOP Annual Meeting at the desk to receive your $3 entrance discount.
The alternative field trip to the canceled Five Mile Pass outing will rendezvous at Utah Geological Survey in the visitor parking area on Sunday at 9:00 am. Please bring your own lunch and beverages. The registration bags have included handout guides for the field trip, and a PDF of that guide is at the image link below. If you prefer, you may follow the guide and meet up with the group at Horseshoe Springs at approximately 10:00 am. We will proceed from there to Iosepa. The fossil site is near there.
The Ogden Dinosaur Park’s website has information about exhibits, hours, directions, and other resources: dinosaurpark.org You will be on your own to visit the Park. If you’d like to coordinate with others for potential carpooling and/or meeting up at the Park, please let us know during the social on Friday or during the meeting on Saturday.
