Rob Gaston — The Discovery of Gastonia and Dinosaur Reconstruction

Grab your Valentine and come learn about one of our most iconic dinosaurs! Our next meeting of the Castle Country Chapter of Utah Friends of Paleontology will be next Tuesday, February 14th at 7 pm in the Prehistoric Museum classroom. Our speaker, Rob Gaston, will be presenting “The Discovery of Gastonia and Dinosaur Reconstruction.” Rob not only discovered one of our most important fossil sites – the quarry that yielded Utahraptor and Gastonia – but he also produces amazing exhibit displays, including our current special exhibition, Horns & Tusks. He will be in town next week deconstructing this exhibit so if you haven’t seen it, drop by the museum this weekend.

Before the talk, we’ll hopefully get a table at Club Mecca for optional dinner and drinks with Rob around 5:15 pm. If you are joining from outside of Castle Country, register for the virtual talk at the link below, and feel free to forward on to any interested paleo peeps. You’re not going to want to miss Rob’s talk next week!

Also, if you haven’t already, renew your membership to the Castle Country Chapter here. If you joined last fall, you are already set for 2023!
